The popular and exceedingly filthy podcast My Dad Wrote A Porno will come to an end this year, with two final chapters and special Footnotes episode, including an interview with the enigmatic author, Rocky Flintstone, according to hosts Jamie Morton, Alice Levine, and James Cooper.

Branded the “most popular podcast in British history”, My Dad Wrote A Porno, which was launched in 2015, has amassed more than 430 million downloads worldwide, with its six-series run, as well as spin-off Footnotes, which breaks down each chapter.

In a shared statement, the hosts said: ‘It’s with a heavy heart that we’ve reached the final chapter of our podcast. But we have a strong feeling, this isn’t the last you’ll hear of Belinda…’

When does the podcast air its final episodes and how did it begin? Here’s everything you need to know.

When does the show air its last episodes?

The show will end with its two final chapters releasing on November 28 and December 5, before a final Footnotes episode on December featuring Flintstone.

How did My Dad Wrote A Porno start?

The story of My Dad Wrote A Porno began eight years ago, when Morton learned that his dad, Flintstone, who remained anonymous, had been writing erotica in his garden shed, The Pavilion.

The Belinda Blinked novels chronicle the life and career of Belinda Blumenthal, an entrepreneur in the pots and pans sector who is known for her dubious sexual antics.

Upon sharing a chapter from the book with friends at a Christmas lunch, Levine suggested they should create a podcast.

The three had previously collaborated on projects before the My Dad Wrote a Porno podcasts, after first meeting at the University of Leeds and starting their careers in media.

The podcast initially encountered issues, because iTunes deemed its title to be too risqué; nonetheless, it later went on to become the most popular podcast in British history, according to Acast (a company that offers growth support to podcasts).
