What to do in Scotland this week: Seven things for seven days

Michael Kiwanuka is hitting the 02 Academy in Glasgow this week

1 THIS weekend there is only one place to be and that’s the Electric Shores-curated Heverlee Village Melting Pot in Queen’s Park, Glasgow. There is a big top tent featuring Greg Wilson, Simon Cordiner, Let’s Go Back To The 80s and Poppy Amber Rose. The Heverlee stage has Rebecca Vasmant and Shakara and much more. There will be a Heverlee Village, seating areas, bars, the famous Mini Manoeuvres, street food taken care of by this column’s favourite, The Big Feed, glorious vibes, and all the festival feels. Get all the gen on the socials @electricshorespublicity and @heverleebeer @meltingpotglasgow and @optimoespacio and buy tickets via Skiddle. Be there or be square.

2 FIFE singer-songwriter Cammy Barnes, dropped his new single Beauty In The Streets fresh off his latest tour. Cammy’s music is a stirring blend of folk pop and is utterly haunting. He cracked the UK top 40 with his last single and he’s going places. Get it bought this week and watch out for upcoming gigs. The Kingdom of Fife has a new crown prince I say. Follow him on the socials @iamcammybarnes
