What time is Boris Johnson's delayed Living with Covid announcement?

Boris Johnson will address MPs in the Commons on his “living with Covid” plan, No 10 has said dispute a Cabinet meeting being delayed this morning,

The Prime Minister is expected to set out his plans to the Commons at around 4.30pm – later than originally expected following the delay of a Cabinet meeting to sign off his proposals – but the timing could change.

He will later hold a press conference alongside the chief medical officer for England, Professor Sir Chris Whitty, and chief scientific adviser Sir Patrick Vallance.

The delayed Cabinet meeting, to be chaired by Mr Johnson, is likely to be “a call rather than in-person”, Downing Street said.

The Prime Minister’s official spokesman said Cabinet was postponed “so that the Prime Minister could have both a security briefing and have further meetings to finalise the plan on living with Covid”.

A Cabinet meeting where Boris Johnson was due to present ministers with his “living with Covid” plan has been delayed, the PA news agency understands.

Some ministers had been photographed arriving in Downing Street ahead of the planned meeting.

It is understood it is due to take place later today, after the Prime Minister has received further briefings, in order for the plans to be signed off.
