Leeds United stars Weston McKennie and Brenden Aaronson both found the back of the net during the United States' 7-1 demolition of Grenada in the early hours of Saturday morning. McKennie has heaped praise on the "amazing" Christian Pulisic after the Chelsea man was involved in five of the seven goals.
The USMNT moved to the top of Group D of the CONCACAF Nations League as they ran riot against Grenada. McKennie and Ricardo Pepi both recorded a brace as Aaronson, Pulisic and Alejandro Zendejas rounded off the goals.
After Pepi opened the scoring after just four minutes, Aaronson was well-found by Pulisic in the 20th minute as the Leeds man drove his low shot low into the back of the net after smartly carrying the ball across the area. McKennie would then add USA's third and fourth just minutes apart shortly after the half hour mark.

Following two Pulisic free-kicks in quick succession, McKennie would turn home a sublime acrobatic volley for his first and show insticitive finishing for his second as he lunged home from close out for his country's fourth.
The Chelsea man - wearing the captain's armband in Tyler Adams' absence - registered four assists in the match and finally got his goal shortly after the break, as McKennie took time after the final whistle blew to recognise the sensational performance from Pulisic.
“I mean, to be completely honest, it's what I expect of him,” McKennie said when asked about Pulisic’s five-goal contribution. “For him to be able to do it consistently and be back and be in that zone, it always helps the team out in the best way, because he's one of the players on our team that can create things and can make things happen. So just to see him having fun, and just playing his game and with the confidence that he has, It's amazing.”
