Marine Le Pen, the far-right leader in France, has vowed to engage in a “trial of strength” with the EU over its finances if she is elected as president next year.
Le Pen, the former leader of the far-right National Rally, is the frontrunner for France’s presidential election in April, as incumbent Emmanuel Macron steps down following two consecutive terms.
