Pest control charges in West Lothian are set to be almost doubled, in a bid to maintain the service in the face of budget cuts.
The council’s Public and Community Safety Policy Development and Scrutiny Panel heard that current charges no longer cover costs, with charges fixed at £94.10 to control rats, mice and other vermin.
The Executive will be asked to approve raising the cost to £162 for a maximum of five treatments to control vermin.
