West Ham United are now just a point clear of the Premier League's relegation zone after losing 2-0 to Leicester City at the London Stadium.
An early goal from James Maddison gave Leicester the lead before Harvey Barnes added a second for Brendan Rodgers' side in the final 15 minutes of the tie.

Lukasz Fabianski
Lukasz Fabianski could not be blamed for either goal in the game. The first came as a result of poor defending from the Hammers, where a poor cross was allowed to find Maddison unmarked at the back post. Stopped Leicester making it 2-0 before half-time when diving to his right to save a penalty from Youri Tielemans. The second goal was a one vs one where Leicester took their chance on the break from Barnes, although he did make a good save to keep out Jamie Vardy earlier on. Set a career-best of four penalty saves in a calendar year with his first-half stop. 6
Thilo Kehrer
Thilo Kehrer attacked well but seemed to be perhaps a weak point as West Ham constantly tried to spray passes out to him, but often saw Leicester intercept him. The German is showing a good link-up with Jarrod Bowen down the right side but it was a long pass coming towards him that led to Leicester's break for 2-0 and the initial poor cross from Leicester that led to the goal was also down his side. 5
Craig Dawson
Leicester were able to cross through the box twice when in the move to Maddison's opener and Craig Dawson should have done better to deal with Daka's flick that led to Maddison's finish. Daka again got the better of Dawson before half-time when sprinting away from him on the counterattack. Better in the second half, but need Fabianski's penalty save to get him out of trouble before the break. 5
Kurt Zouma
A number of players could be blamed in a West Ham shirt for Maddison's opening goal, with Daka's cross going through both Kurt Zouma and Declan Rice too easily. Forced off injured shortly after the goal, leading to a Premier League debut for Nayef Aguerd. 5
Aaron Cresswell
Aaron Cresswell was caught out of position for Maddison's early goal, although Leicester should have been never been able to get the ball anywhere near their in-form playmaker in the build-up to the goal. Got forward well and provided several chances for West Ham's players but they were unable to make them count. Among the better of the defenders, who were generally poor. 6
Tomas Soucek
Tomas Soucek thought he had levelled the game in the first half when finishing at the end of a good Jarrod Bowen cross, only for Bowen to be rightly called offside. Made some good challenges but was wasteful on the ball at times when West Ham really needed to dominate and look after players. 6
Declan Rice (Star man)
Midfielder Declan Rice was again among those accountable for the early goal but did little wrong after that. Made plenty of tackles, moved on the ball well and tried to inject some kind of heartbeat in the middle of midfield. Attempted shots on a few occasions but they were all from distance and failed to really test Danny Ward. 7
Jarrod Bowen
Jarrod Bowen will have wanted a disappointing first half of the season with a return to the scoresheet after missing out on a World Cup place, with Maddison among those picked over him. Showed good tempo throughout and attempted to add menace from the right, but the one good chance he did create for Soucek was offside. Good link-up with Kehrer but he's still way short of his best form. 6
Lucas Paqueta
When West Ham had a flurry of chances towards the end of the first half, almost all of them went in the way of Lucas Paqueta, who either chose the wrong option or just missed out in his attempts to try and hit the target. Moved to a deeper role for the final portion of the game when Soucek came off, but his attempts at splitting Leicester's back line were often cut out. Getting back into a rhythm, but capable of much more. 6
Said Benrahma
Said Benrahma was impressive in the first half and many of West Ham's best chances in the first half came from his movement. At times, he took the shoot on when he should have passed or crossed but in terms of attacking influence, Said Benrahma had the most of any Hammers player. Like many though, short of his best. 6
Gianluca Scamacca
Gianluca Scamacca's wait for a goal continued once again. Battled well, press high and linked up the play early on, but in terms of chances, they were all half-efforts at best. Will need a restart during the six-week break in hopes of rediscovering his early season scoring touch. 5
Substitutes
Nayef Aguerd
There was a Premier League debut for Nayef Aguerd shortly after going 1-0 down, replacing the injured Zouma. Did pretty well in general on his first top-flight outing against an in-form Leicester. Comfortable on the ball, won headers and positioned himself well in general. Will hope that this is the first of many league appearances. Looking to use the World Cup to be fitter for the return of the season after Christmas. 6
Pablo Fornals
Pablo Fornals could perhaps feel unlucky that he did not get a start after three goals in his previous two starts. Was bought on with around 15 minutes to go, but his long pass was picked off, leading to the start of the move for Leicester's second goal. 5
