League Two side Colchester United have completed the signing of defender Will Greenidge from West Ham United.
The 20-year-old had been of loan transfer interest from the League Two side, as reported by football.london on Wednesday and now the versatile defender has completed a move to Colchester.
Greenidge has signed an two-and-a-half-year contract with the U’s, keeping him at the club until 2025

While Greenidge has never made a first-team appearance for the club, he did play 78 times for the under-21s and under-18s combined in Premier League 2, the Under-18s Premier League, FA Youth Cup and Papa John’s Trophy.
It is not the only link between West Ham and Colchester in recent months. Young midfielder Dan Chesters spent the first half of the season on loan with the Essex side before returning to the club’s academy.
Both Chesters and Greenidge featured for the Hammers’ under-21s side six days ago during their 3-2 defeat to Manchester United in Premier League 2.
