Wedding guest sparks outrage after 'outdressing' the bride in 'revealing' outfit

It's always been set in stone that people should never wear white at a wedding. This is put in place to ensure that wedding guests don't outshine the bride on her extremely special day.

While it's most common that people shouldn't wear white, there are a series of other unwritten rules. People should avoid choosing particular outfits for the fear that it'll draw attention to themselves rather than the newly married couple.

Taking to popular forum site Reddit, an anonymous user sparked a huge debate online after sharing photos of a guest's dress, which they claim looks 'tacky' and a 'little too revealing'.

Captioning the post, the person wrote: "Wedding guest outdressed the bride in the Philippines. A little too revealing and the colour is a bit off for my taste."

Seeking advice, they questioned: "What do you think?"

The Reddit user shared a series of photographs of one female wedding guest - who was dressed to the nines in a bodycon maxi dress.

The glitzy number was bejewelled in crystals. The dress featured a series of cut-outs along the length - from the bust, back, and waist.

The woman's dress even included a slit trailing up from her ankle to her upper thigh.

Since sharing the thread online, the post has raked in over 100 comments to date - where people were torn over the eye-catching fit.

One person joked: "Was she heading to her figure skating competition following the wedding?"

"Hey I had to stop by but I’m late to my Eurovision backup thing," a second teased.

Meanwhile, a different user penned: "Oy, that is not an appropriate dress to wear to a wedding as a guest. It's a lot of things, none of which would please most brides."
