A high profile Glasgow businessman has been made bankrupt by his bookmaker nephew over an unpaid £400,000 loan.
Retired Hugh King failed to repay the money three years after Billy King Jr loaned it to him on the understanding it would be returned months later, a court was told.
The King family runs businesses across Scotland, including, pubs, clubs, gambling, property and finance, the Sunday Mail reports. And now an insolvency firm has been appointed and given power to seize assets belonging to the 82-year-old.
