Weakness in the Brazilian Real Undercuts Coffee Prices

July arabica coffee (KCN24) on Tuesday closed down -0.85 (-0.37%), and July ICE robusta coffee (RMN24) closed down -55 (-1.32%).

Coffee prices moved lower Tuesday, with robusta falling to a 2-1/2 week low.  Weakness in the Brazilian real (^USDBRL) is undercutting coffee prices as the real fell to a 17-month low against the dollar Tuesday.  The weaker real encourages export selling by Brazil's coffee producers.
