A Cumbria photographer has captured a wave that looks like Brian May. Gary McKeating snapped the water breaking on a sea wall at Harrington on Thursday (November 10).
His watery shot resembles the legendary Queen axeman looking to the side, as if grinding out a guitar solo. Gary, from Workington, explains: "I always check waves for faces or animals as a bit of fun.
"In the past I’ve had pictures that showed the water looking like dogs and swans. At first I thought this one looked like a lover's embrace, but I can see Brian May in there."
The part time photographer says he enjoys shooting landscapes in and around the west coast of Cumbria. He says patience is important, adding: "Sometimes you have to wait a long time for a great photo but it is worth it.”
