DJ Moore came into the second half of the Carolina Panthers’ Week 2 matchup against the New York Giants with only one catch for -2 yards. But he’ll be leaving said half with much, much more.
The fifth-year wide receiver starred on Carolina’s first possession of the third quarter, beginning with a 29-yard completion from quarterback Baker Mayfield. Moore’s big gain, which was just 14 yards off of his entire Week 1 output in yardage, brought the Panthers down to the Giants’ 38-yard line.
Two plays later, with a 17-yard run from Mayfield sandwiched in-between, Moore tasted the end zone for the first time in 2022 on a 16-yard grab. And just as he did on the prior reception, the talented pass catcher picked on rookie cornerback Cordale Flott for the score.

Moore’s visit to pay dirt gave the Panthers their very first lead of the afternoon, a 13-6 advantage with 12:27 remaining in the third quarter.
