The 2022 NFL draft is in the books and now we turn to the 2022 NBA draft where Ohio State figures to have two players taken in the first round. Most mock drafts and NBA-types believe that former Buckeye guard Malaki Branham has a bigger upside and NBA potential, so he’s thought of as a better prospect than forward E.J. Liddell.
Branham found his game midway through the season and has rocketed up draft boards and could go in the top fifteen picks. His game is varied with the ability to shoot the three-pointer, employ a mid-range game, and also take the ball to the tin. He’s also got length and slipperiness to him that many students of the game like for today’s NBA.
One of those students of the game is ESPN’s Mike Schmitz. He sat down with Branham to discuss his game, what makes him tick, and who he compares himself to.
If you haven’t had a chance to see the video, it’s a short one that’s fun to watch. Get an inside look at what kind of player Branham might be at the next level.
Had a blast breaking down film and chopping it up with potential top-10 pick Malaki Branham out of Ohio State. Strong mid-range, even stronger shoe game. pic.twitter.com/o6KAfhx7Xa
