The bizarre sight of a 'shape-shifting UFO' has been spotted in the skies above Renfrew.
A startled member of the public captured the object on video around 7:25pm last night (March 3).
The footage appears to show a small yellow light in the sky, which then begins to change form with remarkable speed once the camera has zoomed in on it.
After doing so for for just under a minute, the object then seems to disappear into a haze at the end of the video.

The member of the public who captured the footage described it as "a shape shifting UFO" - although we wonder if it could just be their camera attempting to focus on some bright object in the sky, such as the International Space Station.
And it's not only strange sighting in the sky we've come across lately. A few weeks ago we reported on a similar incident involving an unidentified object spotted by a passenger on a flight out of Glasgow Airport.
The passenger was able to take some clear snaps of the object - which appears to be large and oblong shaped - as it cruised at high altitude above the clouds.
