With game one of the Golden State Warriors’ playoff series against the Denver Nuggets quickly approaching, Steph Curry watch is underway. The two-time Most Valuable Player missed the last 12 games of the season due to a strained ligament and bone bruise in his left foot.
With the playoffs looming, Curry has returned to practice for individual work and shooting routines. On Thursday, the eight-time All-Star guard made another step towards his potential return to the court.
Curry participated in the Warriors’ 5-on-5 scrimmage on Thursday at practice. According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Curry was on the floor for three six-minute segments of scrimmaging.

Steph Curry scrimmaged today. Three 6-minute segments. Kerr: "Felt good. Told me it's another checkpoint to hit. He's optimistic he'll play Saturday." Warriors not making anything official. But everything clearly remains on track.

Following the scrimmage, the Warriors haven’t updated Curry’s status for Saturday’s contest yet. However, Shams Charania and Slater of The Athletic recently reported Curry’s on track to return on Saturday against the Nuggets if he clears Thursday’s scrimmage.
After Thursday’s practice, the Warriors will have one more day to decide if Curry is ready to meet the Nuggets in game one. The Warriors are slated to host the Nuggets on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. PT at San Francisco’s Chase Center.
