'Want to try and get us out' - Man City fans fume at potential FA Cup clash against Arsenal

Several Manchester City supporters believe the Blues will be clashing with Arsenal in the fourth round of the FA Cup, with Pep Guardiola's side facing either Oxford or the Gunners in the next round.

The Blues will host either League One outfit Oxford or Premier League rivals Arsenal in the fourth round after the draw was confirmed on Sunday evening. Should Guardiola's men face Karl Robinson's side, it would be the first meeting between the two clubs since December 2019 - which City won 3-1 in League Cup.

However, most fans are expecting Mikel Arteta's side to have too much for Oxford on Monday night, which would therefore see the current top two teams in the Premier League coming head to head. City thrashed Chelsea 4-0 in their third-round tie on Sunday, with Riyad Mahrez (2), Julian Alvarez and Phil Foden all on the scoresheet.

City were at home for the EFL Cup victories over Chelsea and Liverpool earlier this season, but will travel to Southampton for the quarter-final clash on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the FA Cup third round was played at the Etihad Stadium, and the fourth round tie against either Oxford or Arsenal will also be at home.

Guardiola's side have had to overcome difficult challenges in both domestic cup competitions this campaign, with the reigning Premier League champions yet to play a side outside of the top flight in either competition. With the majority of City fans tipping Arsenal to reach the fourth round, it would mark another tough encounter.

After the draw was made, Blues supporters were quick to comment on their potential clash with the Gunners, while also referencing the demanding ties they have been forced to overcome already this term.

Below, MEN Sport have taken a look to see what they have had to say on social media:
