Wales relegated from top Nations League group, could face Ireland yet again

A 1-0 home defeat to Poland last night consigned Wales to relegation from the top tier of the UEFA Nations League.

It was not the World Cup send-off that Robert Page was hoping for, with his side falling to defeat in their final home game before the beginning of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Karol Swiderski's goal downed Wales, meaning the Gareth Bale led team will ply their trade in Group B in the next iteration of the Nations League, opening the door for yet another series of encounters with the Republic of Ireland.
