Somehow, after trailing for nearly all of Sunday’s game with the Baltimore Ravens, the Pittsburgh Steelers used a series of big plays down the stretch to pull off an improbable 17-10 win. This win helped the Steelers improve to 3-2 and take over the lead in the AFC North.
This game was one late and it was won on a handful of big plays. For this week’s player of the game, we have chosen three players who had those big plays and opted for a representative from each of the three positional units.
Buy Steelers TicketsFirst up we went with safety Miles Killebrew. The Steelers were trailing 10-3 early in the fourth quarter. But after the Steelers defense held against the Ravens offense, Killebrew shot through the line of scrimmage and blocked Baltimore’s punt, resulting in a safety. This play was the turn the Steelers needed to come back and pull off the win.
Next up we go with EDGE T.J. Watt. After being shut out last week against the Houston Texans, Watt came to life this week with two sacks and a big fumble recovery. Watt was in the backfield all game long, disrupting quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Finally, we chose wide receiver George Pickens. Pickens was the one consistent weapon on offense finishing with six receptions for 130 yards and a 41-yard touchdown that gave the Steelers the lead they would not give up.
