Virat Kohli shushes Australian spectators after Marnus Labuschagne's wicket in Adelaide - WATCH

NEW DELHI: Virat Kohli, known for his fiery spirit and never backing down, once again made his presence felt during the second Test between India and Australia at the Adelaide Oval.

The Australian crowd, vocally supporting Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head as they built a resilient partnership, added to the pressure on the Indian team.

Despite efforts from Mohammed Siraj, Harshit Rana, and R Ashwin, the Australian duo continued to frustrate the visitors.

However, skipper Rohit Sharma’s decision to reintroduce Nitish Reddy into the attack proved decisive.

In his second over on Day 2, Reddy delivered the breakthrough India desperately needed, dismissing the dangerous Labuschagne for 64 runs.

The wicket came off a short, wide delivery that Labuschagne attempted to cut hard, only to find Yashasvi Jaiswal taking a sharp, two-handed catch.

Kohli, fielding in the slips, ran towards Jaiswal to embrace the youngster in celebration.

Kohli then turned to the crowd and gestured for silence, a moment that quickly went viral on social media.

WATCH:

India, who are leading the five-match series 1-0 after a dominant 295-run victory in Perth, were bowled out for 180 in their first innings.
