Viewers see funny side of Steps singing ‘Chain Reaction’ on Gogglebox

Gogglebox fans were delighted to see Ian 'H' Watkins, Claire Richards, Faye Tozer from Steps singing along to “Chain Reaction” by Diana Ross as they watched her Glastonbury set. The pop group covered the song in the noughties.

The trio were a hit with fans of the show, with many taking to social media to cheer them on. Everyone agreed they brought some fun and lightness to the show.

While many of the celebrity guests on the Pride special tried their best to sing along to the iconic song, it was the former members of Steps that stole the show. And while Richards might have suggested the band had murdered the Diana Ross song, it was certainly fun to see them bopping along on the sofa as they all sang along.

Some of the other guests on the celebrity special to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Pride parade in London included: Paul Sinha and his husband Oliver Levy, Drag Race UK's Bimini and Self Esteem, Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood and his pal Ben Goddard, gold medal-winning Olympians Helen and Kate Richardson-Walsh, and comedians Lolly Adefope and Mae Martin.

Some of the shows watched by the crew included: Man vs Bee, This is My House, Big Boys, Scream as well as a number of Glastonbury performances.

Nonetheless, people were pleased to see Steps singing their classic song with @JayHBaker94 tweeting: “At least steps are honest about murdering Chain Reaction #CelebrityGogglebox

And @MillieSansoye wrote: “I prefer the Steps version of Chain Reaction #CelebrityGogglebox.” While @EnfieldGarry chimed in: “Steps’ reaction, haha it’s their song. #CelebrityGogglebox
