Victoria Beckham's aspiring singer son Cruz, 17, working with iconic producer

Cruz Beckham is set to follow in his mother's footsteps with a career in pop music after working with British performer Sam Ryder's producer.

The budding chart star made moves to collaborate with the creative genius behind the track Space Man after being "blown away" by Sam's performance at The Eurovision Song Contest earlier this year.

Cruz, 17, approached Max Wolfgang to discuss working together after seeing the work he had done with other acts including Kylie Minogue, as well as British chart-toppers Little Mix and Rudimental.

Max was then reportedly "very excited" to join forces with Cruz when he heard his potential on some demo tapes.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: "Cruz was blown away by Sam’s performance at Eurovision and felt Max’s style of writing would work with the vibe he’s going for, and asked if he could arrange a session.

"Max heard some of the demos Cruz has been working on and was very excited to be involved. He was surprised by his musical talent."

Cruz recently signed up to Tap Music management - the same company that represents huge UK stars including Ellie Goulding, Dua Lipa and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

At the time sources explained that seeing a "well-established" company sign Cruz up meant that he is a genuine star in the making.

A source previously said: 'The fact that such a well-established and successful management company has taken on Cruz proves there is faith that he is the real deal.

They added: "Everyone has been really impressed with what they have heard so far and he is working hard to develop his songs. Everything is falling into place with his career but he isn’t in a rush to put music out yet."

The source also explained how Cruz's famous parents mean there is extra pressure on him to do well when he does finally release his music as they insisted he "has a lot to prove."

Plans are being hatched by the music industry experts to insure that he gives his career as a musician the best possible shot and doesn't rush into things.

Cruz was also reported to be working with music producer Poo Bear back in February - the same talent who was written a string of hits for chart-topper Justin Bieber.

Cruz said: "We’ve just been in the studio a few times and made some songs together."

The youngest of the Beckham boys has also admitted he has been writing about "personal experiences, real experiences," and that he has taught himself to play the guitar, piano and drums amongst other instruments to aid his creativity.

He continued: "I even learnt how to play the mandolin for a song I wrote. I don’t think you ever stop learning, but I’m taking my time seeing what happens."

Cruz previously released his festive single If Every Day Was Christmas back in 2016 when he was just 11 years old.
