Veterans Forced to Retire After Combat Injuries Could Get Major Pay Boost Under New House Bill

Thousands of combat-injured veterans could eventually receive more retirement income under a new House proposal that would change how military retired pay and VA disability compensation are combined.

The Combat Veterans Retirement Restoration Act, introduced by Indiana Republican Representative Victoria Spartz on 16 September, would allow certain medically retired veterans due to combat-related disabilities to receive full military retired pay alongside VA disability compensation.
