Very busy Swansea road to be closed for four evenings and nights in November

A very busy Swansea road is to be closed for four nights this month. Swansea Council has published a notice of the disruption, which will take place over four nights.

It will affect Pentregethin Road in Cwmbwrla, in a northerly direction from its junction with the A483 Carmarthen Road to its junction with Elgin Street, a distance of approximately 360 metres.

It means there will be no access or egress from the area whilst works are underway, at its junction with Middle Road, Cae Bricks Road, Fern Street, David Street and Elgin Street, with the exception of access for emergency service vehicles. The alternative route for cars will be via the A483 Carmarthen Road, Approach Road, Manselton Road, St John’s Road and the unaffected section of Pentregethin Road, a distance of approximately 1.7 kilometres, the council has said.

The work is taking place in order for resurfacing to be carried out. It will begin on Tuesday, November 8, and will be taking place between 6pm and midnight each evening.
