Following the midweek home win against West Didsbury and Chorlton, Vauxhall Motors are back in action on Saturday afternoon as they host FC Isle Of Man.
The Ravens were founded in 2019 but played their first ever league game against Maine Road on July 21st 2021 and this resulted in a 1-1 draw as Frank Jones scored the club’s first competitive goal. There was opposition to FC IOM becoming affiliated with the IOM FA as there were fears that the club would be able to cherry-pick the best players from teams around the island and other clubs losing out on potential spectators.
To ease this concern, FC IOM kick off its games in the later slot of 18:30 to avoid any potential clash with the local league.
