VALORANT Blackthorn bundle: Skins, price, and release date

The new VALORANT Act is kicking off with loud vibes, as Miks is joining the agent roster. While you might have expected a similarly upbeat bundle in the store, there’s a much darker collection awaiting you, Blackthorn.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Blackthorn bundle in VALORANT, including featured skins, their expected prices, and release date.

Blackthorn is an Exclusive rarity collection, putting it towards the more expensive end of VALORANT skins. It also means that these skins won’t appear in the Night Market rotations, as they’re limited to Premium collections.

Here’s everything included in the Blackthorn bundle:

  • Vandal
  • Guardian
  • Marshal
  • Classic
  • Melee
  • Buddy
  • Card
  • Flex

There’s no official information regarding the price, but Exclusive-rarity skins, like Araxys and ChronoVoid, usually cost around 2,175 VP per weapon skin. The melees are around 5,350 VP, but some go as low as 4,350 VP. All buddies and cards have the same price, but a Flex can vary. However, because the Blackthorn Rose Flex doesn’t have many special animations, it’ll likely cost 975 VP.

As the name implies, the cosmetic designs feature thorns and roses in a dark tone. The skins have four variants: black and red (default), black and gold, white and green, and silver and purple. The pullout animation of the Vandal slightly resembles the EX.O collection. There are also seemingly nods to Kuronami in some of the other skins.

While most weapon skins in the Blackthorn bundle have traditional models, the Classic is quite distinct. It’s much thinner and sharper than most other Classic skins, with a static barrel (if you can even call it a barrel) and a rose in the back.

Finally, the Blackthorn Blades melee uses the same model as the Kuronami no Yaiba melee, but with different animations. The inspect animation turns the melee into two thorn-like knives that your agent flips, and the heavy attack sends out a vine to pierce your opponents.
