Uttar Pradesh: Sitapur man arrested for killing wife, cutting body into pieces

LUCKNOW: Sitapur police on Tuesday claimed to have solved the mystery behind the dismembered body of a woman found on November 8 after arresting her husband, who allegedly strangled her and cut her body into pieces before disposing of it in a fied with the help of a friend. His friend has also been arrested.

Police say that the accused, Pankaj Maurya (46), has confessed to his crime. He was married to Jyoti (38) of Barabanki for 10 years. For the past three months, he started suspecting Jyoti of infidelity and planned to eliminate her, police say.
