VARANASI: A poll gimmick or real repentance, be what it may, but the sitting Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Robertsganj Bhupesh Chaubey took everyone by surprise at an election rally in Robertsganj on Tuesday when he stood on the chair, held his ears and did sit-up begging forgiveness for any mistakes that he might have made during the last five-years.
This happened when the former health minister of Jharkhand and MLA Bhanu Pratap Shahi was also present at the dais as the chief guest. Shahi, who visited Robertsganj for electioneering in his favour, had also attended the inaugural function of his election office three days back.
