U.S. Soccer didn’t spare any expense announcing the women’s national team for the 2023 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday and the internet loved it. The stellar squad was announced via a nearly eight-minute long video in which celebrities, artists and athletes were given the honor of each announcing one of the 23 names on the coveted roster.
The list of celebrities started with President Joe Biden and his wife, First Lady Jill Biden, and then it was off to the races. Issa Rae, Mariska Hargitay, Taylor Swift, Shaquille O’Neal, Megan Thee Stallion, Tina Fey, Rainn Wilson, Blake Lively, Lamorne Morris, Mikaela Shiffrin, Amy Rodriguez, Gabrielle Union, Matt Turner, Sophia Bush, Kelly Slater, Breanna Stewart, Tim Howard, Quinta Brunson, Mia Hamm, John Cena, Jalen Hurts, Brooke Baldwin and Lil Wayne rounded out the incredible list of names involved.
