UnitedHealthcare will stop selling plans on Georgia's Affordable Care Act marketplace in 2027 after state insurance regulators objected to the 54% rate increase it requested. Its marketplace members will need to choose a new insurer for coverage starting January 1.
The exit comes as Georgia families face a second straight year of steep price increases. Final marketplace rates for 2027 rise by about 20.7% on average, and Georgia is skipping the window-shopping period that usually lets people preview plans before enrollment opens.
