Ulrika Jonsson has admitted that she is interested in hosting a middle-aged version of Love Island - insisting that she has more passion in life now than she did throughout her 20s.

The 55-year-old television host - who has starred in Gladiators and Shooting Stars - was on Good Morning Britain on Monday, chatting about plans for a new season of the ITV2 staple aimed at single parents.

The network has previously called for singletons to sign up for The Romance Retreat - which is a similar premises to the popular reality TV series which is currently showing its winter edition.
