Ulrika Jonsson calls Katie Price a 'bad mum' after she moaned she hardly gets to see her kids

Ulrika Jonsson has called Katie Price a ‘bad mum’ after she moaned she hardly gets to see her two youngest kids.

Katie, 44, said this week she had been cut out of the lives of her children, Jett, nine, and Bunny, eight, who she shares with ex-husband Kieran Hayler.

The glamour model claimed "recent events" in her life meant she has "limited access" to her kids - something Kieran has strenuously denied.

Writing in her column for The Sun , Ulrika ripped into Katie for sharing her “heartbreak” over not seeing her kids - pointing out she is on holiday most of the time anyway.

Mum-of-four Ulrika said: "[Katie] Price says kids need their mum.

"No, Katie. Kids don’t need their mum or their dad. They need a good mum and a good dad."

“What really matters is the quality of the parent. A bad mum or dad is likely to do more damage than good."

She then delivered a damning blow to Katie, concluding: "Who knows the truth behind the Price-Hayler story. But gripes about limited access sound a little strange coming from a mum who heads off on seemingly endless holidays."

Mum-of-five Katie made the admission in her new documentary for Channel 4 called ‘ Katie Price: Trauma And Me’ which airs on September 8.

In a preview clip, she said: “The hardest thing I’ve had to deal with in recent months is having limited access to some of my kids.”

“Recent events have meant I’m seeing my youngest children less and the relationship between me and their father has broken down.

“It’s not good for my mental health and it’s certainly not good for their mental health. They should be having their mum in their life. At the moment I’m stuck in this rut with Jett and Bunny and it is frustrating for me.

“You know, seven months, how has it even got to this? It’s heart-breaking and I just wish it wasn’t like this. All I can do is hope that this won’t be forever.”

A representative for Kieran Hayler has denied Katie’s claims saying: "This is categorically untrue."

“Kieran's focus remains on the children's best interest and in maintaining the children's best interests and safety at all times,” they told The Sun.

“Miss Price's version of events are never accurately portrayed. It is a shame the producers of the program did not feel it appropriate to balance the claims by interviewing the fathers who have first-hand kept the children in a loving, caring and stable environment.”

The one-off documentary follows the former glamour model during the events after her drink-driving crash last year after she narrowly avoided jail.

It is the first time Katie will speak openly about her battle with suicidal thoughts and PTSD.

After a bout of “severe depression” Katie says she considered taking her own life – but the only thing that kept her going was her children.

As well as Jett and Bunny, she shares Junior, 17, Princess, 15, with ex-husband Peter Andre and has 20-year-old Harvey from her relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke.
