Summer is here! South-east set to bask in 24C temperatures today as hot air sweeps in

It could be the hottest day of the year in the South-East this weekend, forecasters predict, with temperatures tipped to reach 24C on Saturday as a blast of warm air sweeps in from North Africa.

So far the hottest day of the year was recorded at 23.4C in St. James’s Park on Easter Friday.
