UK hit with heavy rain and thunderstorms as Met Office warns of flash flooding

Large parts of the UK have been hit with heavy showers and thunderstorms on Thursday, bringing the threat of flooding and travel disruption.

The rain showers will drift southwards and eastwards during Thursday, affecting other parts of Wales, the Midlands, East Anglia and southern England.
