A 'UFO' was spotted above North Filton this evening (July 10). Photos sent to BristolLive showed a silver object which appeared to glisten in the sky.
It was spotted by a local resident at around 6pm and, although the images were taken from some distance away, the object appears to have some sort of string-like detail dangling from it. While the local dubbed the object a 'UFO' and in one picture the shape of it looks almost spaceship or rocket-like, it could be argued that it could be nothing more than a helium balloon which has escaped from its owners clutches.
The shape of the object resembles a letter 's' or even a number '2' or '5'-shape in the second image. These kinds of helium balloons are ever popular at birthday parties or celebrations - they're rather large and are becoming evermore common as ways to make birthdays, hen/stag parties and anniversaries more 'Insta-friendly'.
