Light heavyweight fighter Maxim Grishin has been suspended indefinitely despite winning a unanimous decision on the UFC 271 undercard.
Grishin won every round against his rival Knight on the opening fight of last weekend's pay-per-view to pickup just his second promotional win.
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation released their medical suspensions for the event in which Grishin will now be out of action indefinitely.
His fight was originally scheduled to be at light heavyweight, with the Russian successfully weighing in at 206lbs for the fight.
But Knight stepped on the scale at 218lbs, recording the largest weight miss in UFC history, and was deducted 40 per cent of his fight purse.
Their bout was changed to heavyweight but that was by no means new to the veteran Grishin, having competed at the weight class in his UFC debut.
37-year-old Grishin was signed to the UFC in 2020 and has now picked up two wins and two losses for the promotion.
Marcelo Rojo, who was submitted by top prospect Kyler Philips on the undercard, was the only other fighter who comepted on the card to be suspended indefinitely.
Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya made the fourth defence of his middleweight title in the main event of the card, outpointing former champion Robert Whittaker in their rematch.
Both top middleweights have been medically suspended until February 28 after their five-round fight.
