LAS VEGAS – Pete Rodriguez handed Mike Jackson his first knockout loss in devastating fashion at UFC Fight Night 212.
Rodriguez (5-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) opened Saturday’s card at the UFC Apex with a vicious flurry on Jackson (1-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) in their welterweight bout. He hurt his opponent early, and then put Jackson away with an absolutely nasty knee to the jaw that put the lights out.
It took just 93 seconds for the whole fight to unfold. You can check out the replay of the finish below (via Twitter):

After the fight, an emotional Rodriguez said he was relieved to bounce back after falling short in his UFC debut earlier this year.
“Thank you all my coaches,” Rodriguez said in his post-fight interview with Paul Felder. “All my family who believe in me as the Day 1’s. … I’m back from the dead. If you don’t know now you know. And if you just know, it’s too f*cking late.”
