Uber Eats partners with its first three star chef, Simon Rogan, for new £80 takeaway

Delivery brand Uber Eats is back with another PR-winning collab, this time partnering with its first three Michelin-star chef, Simon Rogan.

The £80 menu has been developed with L’Enclume owner Simon Rogan using ingredients grown on his Cumbrian farm, not far from the restaurant in Cartmel, Lake District.

Meat and fish used in the dishes will also come from the Lake District, Uber Eats press material said, sourced from the local suppliers Rogan uses in his three-star kitchen.

The delivery brand also claimed this delivery special, which follows similar offers with the likes of Gareth Ward of two Michelin-star Welsh restaurant Ynyshir, and Brooklyn Beckham, will be its most “sustainable” yet thanks to the use of electric vehicles and packaging made out of seaweed.

This time round, the delivery menu will comprise five courses. Snacks will include “Park House pudding” glazed in birch sap, a chicken offal doughnut, and Diana radishes with lovage.

Later, a salad containing 51 ingredients from Rogan’s farm, followed by a bay shrimp custard using crustaceans landed in nearby Morecambe.

The centrepiece will be a beef short-rib from the eminently popular Lake District Farmers, which will be served with fermented cabbage, chanterelles, and beef sauce. The drinks pairing includes Champagne and a 2022 Crozes-Hermitage.

Rogan said: “I’m delighted to be partnering with Uber Eats to shine a light on some of the very best produce we’re able to grow and source in this country, most of which I’m proud my team and I have produced on our very own Lake District farm.

“My cooking philosophy has always been influenced by the natural environment, while sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do. Uber Eats have truly gone above and beyond to match this ethos with this project.”

Those who don’t immediately recognise the restaurant might remember it from the first series of The Trip: it was where Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon performed impressions of Michael Caine.
