Uber Eats driver goes extra mile and delivers handwritten poem and card as well as food to customer

An Uber Eats driver has gone viral due to the extra mile he went when delivering food to a customer by adding a handwritten card and poem to the delivery.

A viral TikTok shared by Tracey Ramirez, that has now been viewed more than 1.2 million times, shows the driver placing tissue paper under the bag on a table outside the front door.

In addition, he included a goody bag that included face masks, sweets, a personalised card a small printed poem titled “Footprints in the Sand.”

Ramirez’s video which, at the time of writing, was shared just three days ago, has already been viewed more than 1.2 million times.

In the caption, she wrote: “#Helpmefindhim to thank him! I want him to know his actions are appreciated. Tik Tok do your thing!”

Many other people were touched by his thoughtful gesture. “The fact that he puts extra effort into his job just to make other people smile,” said one person in response.

“PLEASE FIND HIM. I wanna tip him and he didn’t even delivery to me,” wrote a second person.

As reported by Daily Dot, initially Uber wouldn’t disclose the driver’s full information for privacy reasons. All she knew was that his name was Donald.

In a follow-up video, Ramirez first tries to contact Uber to try and see if she can get in contact with him and increase his tip.

Eventually, though she was able to find him and shared a clip of a phone call that she made to him. Donald admitted that he was shocked at the lengths that Ramirez had gone to contact him and he even admitted that he almost didn’t take the order but he is overall overwhelmed by his viral success.

Ramirez has since made a GoFundMe for Donald as a token of her gratitude which has already raised more than $2000 in donations.
