Tyson Fury admitted he ended the night as a loser despite his brother Tommy beating Jake Paul in their grudge fight.
The younger Fury recovered from a final-round knockdown to outpoint Paul in Saudi Arabia to settle their two-year rivalry. But heavyweight world champion Tyson had put £100,000 on his sibling winning by knockout - meaning he lost his bet.
He wasn't the only loser on the night with rapper Drake losing even more money after backing Paul to win by stoppage to the tune of $400,000. “It was a brilliant fight, very entertaining,” Fury told BT Sport Boxing. “I’m very proud of Tommy. It was as big as any world title I’ve seen, it was one way then the other.
“I think Tommy boxed the head off him at times, and won 90 per cent of the rounds, but it was still competitive at times also. [Jake Paul] was better than I thought he’d be, to be fair. It looks like Drake lost his money! 335 bags down the toilet! But let me tell you a secret - I lost mine too. I bet for the knockout. We are both losers!”
Tommy, who remains determined to emulate brother Tyson by becoming a world champion, took a standing count for a knockdown in the final eighth round – with the British fighter claiming to have slipped – but had earlier done enough to earn victory on two of the judges’ cards.
As well as claiming the newly-made WBC Diriyah Belt with victory over YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul, Fury – who was defending an undefeated 8-0 professional record – will controversially earn a place in the WBC cruiserweight rankings.

Speaking ringside, Fury dedicated the victory to girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague and new-born daughter Bambi. “For the past two and a half years, this is all that’s consumed my life,” he said. “Tonight I made my own legacy. Molly, this fight was for you and for you, Bambi, I love you.
“I had a dream and a vision that I would win this fight and no one believed me. I had pressure on my shoulders and I came through. This to me is a world title fight – I’ve trained so hard for this. This was my destiny, we did it.”
