Tributes are flooding in for the three teenagers who died in a horror crash. Two of the three boys have now been named and pictured amid heartbroken memorial messages from their friends.
One 17-year-old boy and two 18-year-olds died on Masham Road, between Bedale and Masham, after the car they were travelling in crashed at around 11pm on Friday night, July 29. The 18-year-old driver remains in hospital with serious injuries, reports YorkshireLive .
Two of the boys who have died have been named locally as Aaron Bell and Loui Banks. The identification of the third teen who has died is unknown at this time. All three boys were pupils at Bedale High School in Fitzalan Road.
"It's not just three lives lost, it's three families totally destroyed", one person paying tribute said. The community in North Yorkshire have been left shaken up by the incident.
Hundreds of people have shared their tributes. A number of the boys' friends have said "we miss you" and share their own tributes online. Friend Elise Lee said: "You guys were taken from us too soon. We all love you and we hope you're in a better place.
"I’m so sorry this has happened to you boys, you were truly amazing. Rip we love you."
Kieren Pounder said: "I went to school with the boys. I used to play rugby with two of them. All off them were the brightest of lads they always [went] out to help and I worked with Aaron on farm laming and he's always jolly and happy lad his laugh was contagious. I've known one of them for 10 years and he's always to make us laugh.
"It's heart-breaking for the family's that have lost there sons and its left a hole in people the were close to them and they were to young to go but they will never be forgotten." Callum Moore added: "R.I.P boys fly high." And friend Megan Allen added that the teens were "such funny boys". "Rest in peace", she added.
Kieron Pounder said: "These lad have been some good mates to me. Their lives have gone but they're never forgotten."
A number of people across North Yorkshire and the country are sending well wishes to the teens' families. Jane Clayton said: "This is absolutely heart-breaking news. Sending thoughts and prayers to all the families involved."
Fiona Gill Kilgallon added: "Such heart-breaking news, sincere condolences to families… and friends. Prayers for them all , hopefully the driver will find the strength to recover from his injuries both physically and mentally and that he gets the support to help him, what an horrific tragedy!"
Paul Green, from Richmond, wrote: "My brother has just called to tell me about the crash near Bedale that has taken the lives of three teenagers last night. It’s just heart-breaking, those poor families. It’s not just three lives lost it’s three families totally destroyed, never the same.
"I have no idea of the circumstances of the crash but I do have teenage boys who like going out with mates in their cars and it scares the life out of me seeing this. Thoughts go out to the families dealing with this today."
"This is heart-breaking for all the families involved, my heart goes out to you all, RIP," commented Tricia Davis. Dawn Reed added: Oh my goodness! So very sorry for the loss of lives, condolences to everyone involved.
"How tremendously awful for the person left behind! Please, everyone, this person needs EVERYONE to send them love and hugs."
