CONTENT WARNING: This article contains distressing content.

NSW Police have confirmed that two people have been arrested following a reported shooting — where three people have reportedly been killed — at Bondi Beach.

On Sunday afternoon, NSW Police said it was “responding to a developing incident at Bondi Beach”, urging the public to “avoid” the area and for those currently in Bondi to “take shelter”.

“Police are responding to a developing incident at Bondi Beach and are urging the public to AVOID the area. Anyone at the scene should take shelter. Police are on scene, and more information will be provided when it comes to hand,” a NSW Police Force message read on X.

Following its announcement, police confirmed two people had been placed in custody. However, police operations into the developing incident are still ongoing.

Per 9news, three people have reportedly been killed, and ten others are believed to have been shot.

The publication also reported that one of the alleged shooters was shot by police.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, people in Bondi reported hearing up to 50 gunshots just after 6.40pm at Bondi Beach.

“I saw at least 10 people on the ground and blood everywhere,” Harry Wilson, a local who claimed to have witnessed the shooting, told the publication.

More to come.
