Two National Lottery winners have yet to claim their prizes

Two National Lottery ticket-holders are yet to claim their life-changing EuroMillions and Set For Life prizes from draws within the last week, and The National Lottery can today reveal that one of the winning tickets was bought in retail, while the other was bought online.

EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker guarantees to create a millionaire in every draw but on Friday night, 21 April, the special EuroMillions Millionaire Maker event draw created 20 guaranteed UK millionaires in one night. Only one of these 20 prizes has yet to be claimed, with the ticket having been bought in retail.

The Set For Life draw on Thursday 20 April saw one ticket-holder scoop the top prize of £10,000 a year for 30 years, and this winner is also yet to come forward. This winning ticket was purchased online.

The National Lottery is urging the remaining one lucky EuroMillions winner who bought their ticket in retail to check their tickets and call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 50 50 in order to make their claim. The one lucky Set For Life online ticket-holder is urged to check their emails and log into their National Lottery account and then call the National Lottery Line.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said, “Imagine being a millionaire and not even knowing it. We’re urging all EuroMillions and Set For Life players to check their tickets or log into their National Lottery Account to see if they are one of our missing winners.

“We’ve already started to support 19 of the 20 EuroMillions ticket-holders who have claimed their prizes from last Friday’s special draw, and we’re hoping that this last lucky winner who has yet to check their tickets will now come forward so that they can start to enjoy their amazing win.

“If you’re an online Set For Life player, check your National Lottery Account and give us a ring, imagine what you could do with £10,000 a month for the next 30 years.”

Once a ticket-holder has called Camelot and the claim has been validated and paid, the ticket-holder will then decide whether or not to go public and share their news. There will be no information on whether these wins are individual or syndicate winners unless the ticket-holder decides to go public.

Players can buy and check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk. Players can also buy and check tickets in retail. Playing online via the app or website means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize. You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you're a winner.

With all major prizes (£50,000 and above) won in retail, approximately two weeks after the draw, if no valid claim has been received, the area in which the ticket was purchased is released. This area is provided by Camelot’s security team in line with its licence obligations and is designed to encourage tickets to be checked but also to enable the ticket-holder to remain anonymous if they wish.

With all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket. Anyone who has any queries or who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 or email help@national-lottery.co.uk

By playing any National Lottery game, players generate more than £30M each week for National Lottery-funded projects. This money helps support everything from the local charity making a difference where you live through to helping our nations' athletes win medals at last summer’s Commonwealth Games. To date, £47BN has been raised for National Lottery Good Causes, with more than 670,000 individual grants awarded.
