The bodies of two men have been discovered at the bottom of a tower block near Edgbaston Cricket Ground.
The grisly discovery was made by a worker at the tower block in Birmingham, West Midlands, on Wednesday morning.
Detectives are treating the deaths as unexplained.
The bodies were found in the car park at Wickets Tower near o the home of Warwickshire County Cricket Club which is one of 18 first-class domestic county clubs in England and Wales.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "The bodies of two men have been found in the car park of a Birmingham tower block today.
"We were called to Wickets Tower on Wyatt Close, near Edgbaston cricket ground, just before 7.40am.
"The men were confirmed dead at the scene, and the car park has been closed while enquiries continue."
They added: "The deaths of the men, who are yet to be identified, are being treated as unexplained.”
Paramedics were called to the scene at around 7.40am on Wednesday, but the man died at the scene despite efforts to save him.
The car park was cordoned off for investigations and officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Three ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
"On arrival, we discovered two patients.
"Sadly, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save either patient and they were confirmed dead at the scene.”
A blue forensic tent was erected at the scene as the investigation continues.
Uniformed officers were seen at the scene where a marked police car was parked on Wednesday.
