Two people have been charged after police seized more than $2.5 million in drugs in Port Stephens.
Police established Strike Force Korpisalo in March 2026 to investigate the illegal supply and misuse of chemical and lab equipment for drug manufacturing in the Port Stephens area.
Strike force detectives with the Raptor Squad arrested two men in Salamander Bay about noon on Thursday June 25.
Officers seized 50 kilograms of pseudoephedrine, 12.5 kilograms of methylamphetamine, one kilogram of cocaine, $15,000 in cash, 50 items believed to be used in making drugs and electronic devices.
At Raymond Terrace police station, a 34-year-old man was charged with manufacturing a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug and dealing with the proceeds of crime.
A 24-year-old man was charged with taking part in the manufacture of a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug.
Both men were refused bail to appear at Bail Divison Local Court on Friday June 26.
