The Camden Brewery Tank Party Tour has been travelling the country recently, and on Friday and Saturday last week it came to Leeds. The Tank Party began 10 years ago and every year since Camden Town Brewery has added more cities to the list.
This year the tour will hit Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Bristol, Newcastle and London. It began in Manchester on June 24 and June 25 and will reach London, the final destination on September 3 and September 4.
The Tank Party is a celebration of Camden's achievements, with lots of beer, cocktails and food from local vendors. We were invited along and had six hours of good beer, good food and immaculate vibes.

Located in the historic Corn Exchange close to Kirkgate Market, Camden Town Brewery took over the lower levels and kitted it out with benches, taps, various food trucks and a lot of bunting. Upon arrival, there was a brass band playing some absolute classics and with the sun shining outside, straight away it had that summery vibe we have all been waiting for.
We got in and grabbed our table amongst the heaving amount of people and enjoyed a wonderful pint of Camden Town Brewery's finest. They had a few beers on offer on the day, namely their classic lager and one of their IPAs.
The event was free entry to anyone which meant quite a few shoppers in the Corn Exchange came down for a pint and a boogie. There were two local food vendors inside, one called Don't Feed The Dog, which did sandwiches and hot dogs and another that sold tacos, each was very good and it was nice to see a light option if you didn't want something too filling - of course, if you had a lot of beer, the heavier option would be sensible.
However, the food did take quite some time to come out, naturally, it was a busy event but at one point we had waited around half an hour - which would be fine if there were lots of people eating but from what I saw there wasn't.
Moving on though, alongside the booze and food the brewery was offering a beer tasting session. These were every half an hour and came with a free hat (what's not to love?).
The beer tastings consisted of a little talk by one of the Camden team, then a taste of three beers. This was enjoyable, I drink beer but I'm not so much a connoisseur so attempting to guess flavours and notes was a different experience.
You could also print your own tote bag which again was a nice surprise. My tote bag printing skills are almost perfect, according to the man in charge, I'll take that.
Overall the event was a blast, it was just good fun. We may have drank a bit too much beer however, following the tasting we were allowed to drink what was left which for our group was around two jugs full but that is by no means a complaint.
The Camden Tank Party Tour is continuing around different cities in the UK and if you get a chance it's worth a visit, prices are reasonable, the atmosphere was excellent and you get a little glimpse into the history of the brewery which was a pleasure to know.
