The Cincinnati Bengals have been able to put together a well-rounded roster that has the potential to be good for a while. The wide receivers have been in conversations for the best group in the league.
Jeff Diamond of the 33rd Team chose his top 25 players under 25, and both Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins made the cut.
Higgins is 24 years old and was ranked 16th on Diamond’s list after accumulating 3,028 yards receiving and 19 touchdowns in his three years with the Bengals since he was a second-round pick in 2020.
Ja’Marr Chase was fifth on the list, with the only receiver ahead of him being his former LSU teammate Justin Jefferson. Chase exploded onto the scene exactly like he was expected to with back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons his first two years in the league and 22 touchdowns. In 2022, he did so in only 12 games while showing off elite hands and speed along the way.
Here’s some of what Diamond had to say about Chase:
It’s no wonder LSU was unstoppable in its undefeated national title season in 2019, with Burrow throwing to Chase and Justin Jefferson. Chase was the fifth overall pick in the 2021 draft and delivered a Pro Bowl and Second-Team All-Pro season, as he was the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year.
