Two Belfast-based pastry chefs are being recognised for their skill and talent at the Food&Wine Magazine Awards 2022.
Food&Wine Ireland is the premier source and go-to guide for foodies, home cooks and wine connoisseurs alike and their annual awards recognise the breadth of talent in the hospitality industry both north and south of the border.
With a wide range of award categories for each province, there are six national awards that pin the very best from every corner of both Northern Ireland and the south - with two Belfast talents being named in the top 13 for 'Pastry Chef of the Year'.

Daniel Duckett, head chef and owner of Lazy Claire Patissiere in East Belfast said he is "very honoured" to be in the running for the top spot.
He began his pastry career at the former restaurant No. 27 Talbot Street before morning to Paris where he worked at the world-renowned tearoom and patisserie Angelina.
When Daniel moved back to Belfast, he began planning for opening the most authentic pâtisserie in Northern Ireland.
Taking to social media, Lazy Claire Patisserie said they were "delighted" at the news of their head chef's success.
They said: "Whelp, it happened again for our head chef Daniel Duckett.
"Being nominated alone is an honour and gives credence to all the hard work our entire team puts forth.
"Delighted!"
Nicole Crowe, head pastry chef at Michelin-star restaurant OX Belfast, has also been recognised once again by the Food&Wine Awards.
Nicole has applied herself to all aspects of pastry from high-end cakes to working in Michelin-star restaurants such as OX.
Her experience spans over 10 years in the industry where her passion and drive for perfection shine through in pastries but also her cake business 'Cakes by Nicole'.
