A woman’s ride home with a coworker almost took a fatal turn, so she jumped out of a moving car

A woman’s attempt to help a coworker get home after their shift allegedly turned into a fight for her life. According to local police, the incident came to light on Friday after officers responded to a report of a car crashing into Augie’s To-Go, an Italian restaurant, as per Fox News. When they arrived, they found the driver suffering from a serious cut to her neck.

Investigators determined that the injury appeared to be unrelated to the crash, raising questions about what had happened before the vehicle hit the building. The passenger, a 36-year-old David Cruz Torres of Michoacán, Mexico, allegedly tried to flee the scene but was detained by officers. Police later learned that he and the victim worked together in Saratoga Springs and that she had agreed to give him a ride home after their shift.
