Houston Texans general manager Nick Caserio wheeled and dealt the club’s extra first-round pick they acquired in a trade with the Cleveland Browns.
Houston’s No. 13 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft was sent to the Philadelphia Eagles for their No. 15 overall pick along with a fourth-rounder and two fifth-round selections.
The Texans then used that No. 15 overall pick to take Texas A&M guard Kenyon Green.
Green provides the Texans with a first-rounder to play inside. Houston won’t need to kick Tytus Howard inside at guard, and can let their former 2019 first-round pick play right tackle in his contract year.
Here is how Twitter reacted to the selection of Green.
